The defender spoke ahead of Nations League matches as he is expected to make his Spanish national team debut. Eric Garcia spoke about his future and even touched on Lionel Messi arriving at Man City where he currently is.
Let’s see what he said-
On his future-
“Barça? I told Man City that I was not renewing, but I still have one season left with them and I hope to return.”
On Messi-
“At Man City we have not spoken anything of which Lionel Messi could come [smiling].”
“Everyone would like to have Messi on their team.”
On national team call up-
“I’m here [Spain national team] because of Man City and the confidence they gave me. It has been a very good year although it did not end in the UCL as we expected.”
It was a shorter than usual press availability, but one would guess that it was due to the many and many Messi questions.
Anyway, hope Eric has a strong debut.
Thoughts on Garcia’s comments?
