Pep Guardiola Confirms Eric Garcia Will Not Re-Sign With Manchester City

Some big news comes out of the Pep Guardiola pre game press availability.

Eric Garcia will not re-sign with Manchester City. He seems to have his his heart set on a return to Barcelona. A la Masia graduate, his desire to go home makes sense.

Pep said of Eric-

“He announced to us that he doesn’t want to extend his contract with Manchester City,” Guardiola told a press conference.

“He has one more year and after that, he doesn’t want to extend. We want it but he doesn’t want to extend it so I imagine he wants to play in other places.”

The news comes after interest from Barcelona who are amid uncertain future with a downward trend both on the pitch and financially.

Now, the question becomes do City sell him now for some money or run down his contract and see him leave for free next summer.
