Manchester City have approached Lyon about midfielder Houssem Aouar, but face competition from Arsenal, who have already held talks with Lyon’s sporting director Juninho. That comes from Julien Laurens of ESPN, who is well connected in French football.
The contact is an encouraging sign as City now really get down to business in the transfer market and will look to sign players fast. The numbers seem to be around £50-55m which is higher than last time reported.
The good thing is there is not much real competition. That could bring down the price a bit and with Arsenal being a bit cash strapped should play in favor of City.
Will this move get done?
