Manchester City are close to agreeing a deal to sign Nathan Aké from Bournemouth.
As Pep Guardiola begins the rebuild of City’s defence following an unsuccessful year, it is believed Aké will become a rotational type player behind Aymeric Laporte and an unsigned world class CB.
Despite Bournemouth’s recent struggles, the 25-year-old Netherlands international’s reputation remains high.
Aké is under contract until 2022 but there is an acceptance at Bournemouth that he will choose to leave when this season finishes.
It would be a good deal. A rotational/utility player of his caliber should solve some concern of a leaky defense. I still believe the squad needs a real difference maker, but it appears they are chasing one.
What do you make of the deal?
