Another game another Pep Guardiola press conference.
Pep touches on Watford, FA Cup loss and much more.
Let’s get to it.
Pep on 5 years at the club-
“It is a challenge for me,” he said. “I have never been five years [at the same club].
“It’s a challenge to myself to see if we can maintain the level of the previous season. In a world where everyone sacks everyone, it’s so difficult.
“It makes me so proud that my staff help me be here. The manager depends on results. It’s a challenge for me to keep players together and maintain this level.
“The moment I lose the excitement and the fire inside of me, it will be a problem.
“I learn a lot about the Premier League. I learn a lot about myself, my players, the opponents. Every game is an experience.”
Pep on changes to squad-
“We are going to make some changes [for Watford],” he said.
“Some players played semi-final and will play but we will see.
“We will play the next two games and try to let all of them play.”
“We focus on the individual quality that the Watford players have, especially up front. We will find some ideas of what they have done with the second team, the individual qualities possessed by Watford’s squad.”
Pep on a break before UCL game-
“No. We will have two days (off) after our game against Watford. But after Watford, we make two weeks (for Madrid),” the City manager confirmed.
“I’m so excited for the two weeks we have ahead for Real Madrid and for next season.”
That’s it for this match. What do you expect from City?
