The transfer rumors continue at a ferocious pace. After covering the latest winger linked and some higher profile rumors we have three new one’s with them possibly coming from the French League, La Liga and the Premier League.

Manchester City have been rumored for many targets this Summer window.

Let’s take a look at some players recently linked to City.

Houssem Aouar

The midfielder has been rock solid for Lyon over in Ligue 1. He has gained a new admirer in Pep and could join him soon. His versatility is probably his greatest asset and the price is not too daunting, sitting at 55-65 million Euros.

In Aouar he comes in as someone who has already earned public praise from Pep Guardiola. That’s not something he does for just any player.

Aouar can play anywhere. His return of 24 goals and 24 assists in 133 games for Lyon shows his competence in front of goal, too. His clubs failure to qualify for Champions League can be City’s offering barring CAS clearance. I could see this deal being done it makes sense.

Sergi Roberto

Versatility seems to be the trait Pep is going for over all else. In Roberto he finds that and at a fairly high level. From playing fullback to square in the middle of the park, Roberto could be the low key signing of the summer.

It is going to take some convincing. A player crafted at La Masia is going to be hard to pry away, but from personal reasons, his alleged fee Barca is demanding sits at 20-30 million euros. Completely manageable.

In order to convince him Pep will have to assure him of at least two years in Manchester. It could be done and he could be a true utility/swiss knife type player for City.

Jack Grealish

Grealish, an English international could be another fine addition. Despite the disciplinary reasons and addition like him could benefit City.

Various outlets have him at 40-50 million euros for his services, but I suspect factoring in contract and some behavioral issues City can trim that down.

Home grown players usually always come with a premium and a young player especially more.I do believe a deal now can help Pep with rotations and be wise for City to move on. Grealish has become hot property in the Premier League and I would prefer him to any of the two above him.

That’s it, thoughts on the targets?
