A new report has been making the rounds on social media and its that CFG, (City Foootball Group) is expanding its club portfolio.
Reports everywhere in Belgium: City Football Group are investing in Belgian second division club Lommel SK. #mcfc
— Kristof Terreur (@HLNinEngeland) May 7, 2020
The report by Terreur adds fuel to the expansion reports elsewhere, like in France, where CFG have been trying to acquire AS Nancy after a loose relationship with Toulouse. Acquiring Lommel and Nancy would put CFG at 10 clubs.
- Melbourne City
- Montevideo City
- New York City
- Mumbai City
- Girona
- Sichuan Jiuniu
- Yokohama F. Marinos
This all points to an expanded empire for Manchester City to cherry pick the best players for Manchester so this could work out well for City.
We will continue to monitor as it develops.
Thoughts on CFG expansion?
