Teenage Defender Agrees To Join Manchester City

Manchester City have announced a deal to sign 16-year-old Peruvian right back Kluiverth Aguilar from Alianza Lima.

Aguilar made his first-team debut in November after he was selected Peru for the South American Under-17 Championships in 2019 and was just 15 at the time, and will remain at his current club until he turns 18 in May next year.

It is likely the defender will go out on loan initially, and his club Alianza, have called it “the most important transfer of Peruvian football to Europe in recent years”.
