Favourite Player Spotlight: Sergio Aguero

Hey guys, I know amidst the circumstances of our time in quarantine has not been the best, but we are here to provide some relief. COVID-19 has taken over the world and football has been in the back of our minds instead of it usual place at the forefront. So, I will take this chance by exploring my favorite player.

Sergio Aguero is my favorite Manchester City player.

The reason are a plenty, from his blockbuster transfer in the Summer 2011 to today he has been the most consistent forward in all of England. Not to mention all his awards, from Premier Leagues to League Cups, Community Shields and FA Cup’s he has won it all domestically.

Many can and do make the claim he is the Premier League’s first or second best foreign import along side Thierry Henry. And I agree he is top 2 and he isn’t second.

His personal accolades include numerous Premier League Player of the Month, PFA Team of the Year, FIFA FIFPro World11 3rd team, FIFA FIFPro World11 4th team, FIFA FIFPro World11 nominee, Football Supporters’ Federation Player of the Year and Premier League Golden Boot.

Kun and his calm demeanor and lethal finishing made him an instant favorite with fans. Then, his attitude on and off the pitch endeared to many Mancunians and supporters all over the world.

Then, we enter his goals, from the superb title winner v QPR in 2012 to his hatrick v Chelsea to see him overtake Tommy Johnson’s and Eric Brook’s record of 158 league goals for the club, and set a new record of 160 goals.

The man has done it all. And not just on the field. He has a peaceful and relatively quiet life off of it.

So, let’s re-live his best goal ever and then a montage of goals.
