Two games, two wins and two clean sheets. All in a day’s work for Pep’s City side. A goal from super sub Gabriel Jesus saw City eke past Leicester in a tough contest at the King Power Stadium.
In a fairly dull game with City dominating possession, it was a Sergio Aguero missed a penalty that shook the stadium up. A frustrating, but ultimately worth it day away.
Jesus’ goal saw City collect three points and move seven ahead of third-placed Leicester.
On to the reaction
Pep Guardiola Reaction
“He (Laporte) asked me to be substituted, but he’s not injured. He’s been four months, five months injured, we can’t forget that. He had to run a lot. It was different against West Ham, we could control it easier. He’s ok.”
“I don’t know, he’s much, much better, I think he’ll be ready. (Sterling)”
“I’m a genius. If the solution scores I am good, if they don’t score I am a disaster. All the managers take a decision, in the moment you have to do it. I am especially happy for Gabriel.”
