Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is set to stay at Manchester City despite the blues Euro ban.

The blues boss, whose contract expires in 2021, was the target of immense speculation as to whether he would remain at the club after Friday’s bombshell punishment from UEFA that see the club banned from European football for two seasons.

But the Catalan manager has reportedly told friends that he intends to stay with the blues even if their appeal of the ban to CAS is unsuccessful. It has been remarked that Guardiola has a clause in his contract that allows him to take a break from the club should the appeal fail, however it is expected that he will not trigger that clause.

City are expected to make their appeal to CAS in the next few days as they start the long process on clearing their name and having the ban, which the club’s hierarchy state is unfair and prejudiced, overturned.

The boss is expected to make is first words on the subject after Wednesday’s game at home to West Ham.
