Manchester City welcome Fulham back to the Etihad Stadium after the two teams faced each other in the FA Cup last January. On that occasion, City ran out 4-0 winners to continue their excellent form against the Cottagers.

City are currently unbeaten in nine home matches against Fulham in all competitions, winning seven and drawing just two, including winning the last six consecutive games. City have scored 19 goals without reply in those six games and blues fans will be hoping for a repeat on Saturday.

The two teams have met 35 times previously in all competitions on Manchester soil, with City running out winners on 22 occasions, with Fulham winning just six of those matches. Of the seven draws in Manchester, only two have ended goalless.

The blues have scored a total of 85 goals at home to Fulham, keeping 14 clean sheets in the process. By comparison, Fulham have scored 37 goals and keeping just 2 clean sheets in Manchester. City’s biggest win over Fulham is 5-0, achieved in March 2014, and the blues have scored 4 or more goals against eh Cottagers on seven occasions.

Fulham’s biggest win came in October 1938, when the Londoners recorded a 5-3 victory at Maine Road. It was the first and only time they have scored more than three goals at any of City’s grounds, and was also their first away win at City.

Saturday’s meeting will be only the second time these two have met in December. The previous occasion was Christmas Eve 1960, when City won 3-2. January is the month that this fixture has been played the most (7), while these two have never met in May.

City have scored in all but two games with Fulham. On each of those occasions, the match has ended 0-0.

3-1, 3-2, 2-1 and 1-1 are the most common scorelines between these to. These results have happened on four occasions each for either side, while City have won 3-0 on four occasions.
