Manchester City’s rearranged home match against Aston Villa has now been confirmed, with the game taking place on Tuesday 10th January.

The blues were originally scheduled to face Villa on the opening day of the season, but involvement in the Champions League meant City would need an extra week’s rest from competitive action.

It will be City’s 8th game in a busy January period, which starts with a trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea, before heading to Old Trafford for their League Cup semi-final clash. City then welcome Birmingham City for their FA Cup 4rd round clash, before three successive home games against Brighton, Crystal Palace and now Villa.

City travel to West Brom on 26th January, before finishing the month with a home game against Sheffield United.

The blues also have to rearrange their postponed game at Everton and could also face an FA Cup 4th round tie, should they get past Birmingham.

The Villa match will kick off at 8.15 and will be shown live on BT Sport.
