David Alaba Continues to be Linked to Manchester City

Silly season continues. David Alaba is reaching Isco levels of links between the player and Manchester City. This time it is AS who has linked them.

Per AS, both Manchester City and United have reached out to Pini Zahavi to ask about Bayern Munich defender David Alaba.

It would be an interesting signing given the resurgence of Stones and of Dias immediate impact. Unless Pep wants Alaba in a midfield role, it is a move without much sense. For one he would be expensive. Two, we have three pretty great center backs now. Three, I think many of the supporters would prefer Houssem Aouar or Denis Zakaria if City would sign a midfielder. Instead of an aging midfield, fullback, center back hybrid.
