Manchester City have won a great and important game.
Raheem Sterling scored the only goal of the game as the Blues nicked Southampton in an entertaining contest to win the South Coast in the Premier League. Not the prettiest win, but a win none the less.
Clean sheet, win and we move.
On to the reaction-
Pep Guardiola Reaction
“They were brilliant. We know exactly which team we faced, how good they are, the build up is so, so good. They put a lot of players forward and make runs in behind. It’s good for us to climb the table and our mood.
“Our momentum is not good upfront. We had chances to score more. The back four were brilliant, Rodri and Gundogan as well. Good victory for us.”
“We are delighted. But he is just in the beginning and he has to continue.”
“I don’t know how our season will go - we go game by game. It’s the only thing we can do,” said the City manager.
“Now we go to London to play Arsenal in the Carabao Cup, then we play Newcastle, Everton and Chelsea at Christmas.
“We can’t think too much (ahead).”
