Ferran Torres scored a stunning hat-trick as Spain hammered former world champions Germany in the Nations League.

The Manchester City winger scored his first and Spain’s second with a right foot volley, before blue teammate Rodri made it 3-0 before half-time. Torres then scored his second and Spain’s fourth and completed his treble with an excellent first time finish from the edge of the box. But it was a miserable night for Ilkay Gundogan, who played the full 90 minutes as Spain ran out 6-0 winners when Mikel Oyarzabal completed the scoring late on.

Meanwhile, over in Croatia, another City new boy made a name for himself as Ruben Dias scored two in Portugal’s 3-2 win, including the last minute winner in Split. The City man had scored his first international goal early in the second half, and added to that strike in the dying moments of the match. Joao Cancelo and Bernardo Silva both made substitute appearances for the visitors.

Tonight sees England, who are already out of next summer’s finals, take on Iceland, however Raheem Sterling will miss the match through injury. Kevin de Bruyne’s Belgium welcome Denmark and the Netherlands travel to Poland, however Nathan Ake has already been ruled out of the match through injury.
