Nathan Ake Injured in International Duty

Another injury setback for Manchester City. Holding his left hamstring, Ake departed the match vs Spain just five minutes in to the encounter.

It’s a big blow as seemingly all teams have been hit by congestion of matches and injuries are on the rise. These international friendlies just seem unnecessary.

In other international player updates, Eric Garcia got a full 90 minutes for the visitors, as did Rodrigo. Ferran Torres coming on for the final half an hour.

Ilkayt Gundogan captained a German side and played just half of the match. Oleksandr Zinchenko started for Ukraine as they lost 2-0 to Poland.

Finally, Bernardo Silva came on at half-time as Portugal beat Andorra 7-0. Joao Cancelo and Ruben Dias were unused substitutes in that game.

A full slate continues as the break will end over the weekend as they play their second games of this international break.
