Well that was deadline day! It was a very quiet day for Manchester City. Other than a couple sales, we did not see an arrival.
Let’s see where we ended on the last day of the transfer window.
Tosin Departs
The young center back has departed for Fulham. The fee is to be believed of 2m pounds. He leaves after being in the academy at City and having had multiple loans the last couple of years. He left in search of playing time as at City those chances were slim.
Eric Garcia Stays Put
Spaniard CB has stayed at Man City. Though the player wanted to depart, City would not accept the 17m euro bid and were holding out for 20m. He will probaly sign a pre contract in January so I would have taken the money. Still, City would not take a low ball offer and you have to respect that.
Trio of arrivals was final piece of business
The Manchester City fans did end up getting some transfer. Though they happened in the earlier part of the window, it’s safe to say they were solid investments.

Final Thoughts
In the end, a relatively good window. They addressed the center back need by two with Ake and Dias, add a signed very promising winger at a cut rate price in Ferran Torres. A window that could only be made better by maybe a fullback or striker, but do not fret the Erling Haaland and Lionel Messi watch will be in full swing come January looking ahead to the summer window. A good window that should see City compete for all trophies again. Injuries would be the biggest hamper, but it’s like that for all clubs. Now, we move in to the thick of the season after this international break and hope all players play well and are healthy.
