Preview

The pair have never met before, which makes this a real history maker. City are coming off a win v Porto, while Marseille lost thanks to last minute goal from Olympiakos.

It should be an interesting affair considering the style match ups. Pep and his men will look to exploit the better players, but with no striker, will have to rely on some creative thinking by Pep and who he selects. Could we see a false nine? Or a rotating CF play like v Arsenal? It will be interesting to see what he goes with.

Team News

Nathan Ake, Sergio Aguero, Fernandinho, Gabriel Jesus and Benjamin Mendy remain side-lined with injury.

For Marseille, they have no new injury concerns.

Prediction

Manchester City 3-2 Marseille
