Notable performances from Eric Garcia and Gabriel Jesus helped seal tonights win. The win now keeps City firm in top 3 and starts the new decade brightly.

On to the reaction-

Pep Guardiola Reaction

“We played top. Delighted with the performance. I think it was offside [Foden’s goal]. VAR was well applied - not like other situations where we have been punished this season.”

“Gabriel has been excellent, but Sergio is irreplaceable. What he means for our fans, what he’s done, the goal against QPR, we need a good back-up for all the players and Sergio has a great complimentary player in Gabriel. They have a great relationship.”

Phil Foden Reaction

“It’s been a very busy period recently. There’s been changes today so me and Gabi have tried to give the team energy. Everyone works for each other and we just need to keep going and do our best.”

“It can be very stressful. Obviously you celebrate for the goal and think you’ve scored. To get it ruled out is very difficult. It’s always hard but it is what it is.”
