Aymeric Laporte has undergone surgery on his knee after damaging his cartilage and lateral meniscus during Saturday’s win over Brighton.
From the City site: “The surgery, carried out by Dr Ramon Cugat in Barcelona, was successful and a more detailed prognosis will be provided in due course.”
Great news as we now await his return. The timetable for that is 3-4 Months, that according to Sam Lee of the Athletic on twitter:
Laporte not out as long as many feared. Still, will be challenge to replace him. Ferna my pick. #ManCity https://t.co/u3X9OoauyW— Bitter and Blue (@Bitter_and_Blue) September 4, 2019
That would mean he would be back in theory for the second half of the season.
Another good point..... https://t.co/8r7J2w3BRT— Bitter and Blue (@Bitter_and_Blue) September 4, 2019
Let’s hope that is the case.
