Manchester City remain undefeated in this young season after seeing off a challenging Brighton 4-0 at the Etihad.
Goals from Kevin De Bruyne, a brace from Sergio Aguero and a late fourth from Bernardo secured victory in a game where the visitors played a great game..
The win came at a cost, however, with the hosts losing Aymeric Laporte in the first half to what looked like a painful knee injury.
But, we move with a win and a clean sheet.
On to the reaction:
Pep Guardiola Reaction
“I think he’s gone to hospital,” revealed Pep.
“It doesn’t look good. I don’t know right now what he has done, but we will know tomorrow.
“We’ll see. They’re diagnosing what he has right now. I’m waiting for the doctor to call me. He might be out for a while.”
Asked whether Fernandinho will be a natural replacement if Laporte is side-lined for any period of time, the City boss added: “I don’t know. He’s a holding midfielder and everyone knows that. Me included.
“But i think he has the qualities to play at centre-back. He’s intelligent, he’s fast, he’s strong and he can head the ball.
“He can see what’s happening in front of him. He can play in both positions.”
“The game was tough. “
“If we analyse the result it was 4-0, but it was tough. Few teams come here and play with such courage. “
“My players are good players and they made the difference - that’s why we won today.”
“From day one I’ve been impressed by
@aguerosergiokun’s commitment. ““We need his goals, everyone knows it. Even on the days when he doesn’t score goals, his commitment is fantastic. “
“I’m happy for him and the team because he helps us a lot with the goals.”
Fernandinho Reaction
“We’re really pleased,” he said.
”We played well today. We scored a lot of goals and conceded a small number of chances.
”I think that’s the best way to go into international duty and get back stronger for Norwich away.”
