Manchester City’s South American contingency went head to head on Wednesday in the Copa América Semi-Finals.

Gabriel Jesus started the match for Brazil whilst Ederson and Fernandinho sat on the bench.

Meanwhile, Argentina’s Sergio Agüero and Nicolás Otamendi both started for their national team.

What transpired was an entertaining match, where Gabriel played a major roll for Brazil. During the opening 20 minutes of the match, Gabriel scored Brazil’s first goal, giving his side the lead. Then, after half time, Gabriel provided a crucial assist for his side’s second goal. By full time, the match ended 2-0, thus eliminating Argentina from the competition.

Brazil will face either Chile or Peru in the competition’s final on 7 July. Argentina will play in the third place play-off on 6 July.
