Manchester City’s Women’s team face a difficult first few opening fixtures as they look to win the WSL for the second time.
The blues start at home to newly promoted local rival United on 7th September, a match that will be played at the Etihad Stadium. Just over a week later, the girls travel to Reading, then face Everton on Merseyside at the end of the month.
The big test of City’s title credentials comes on 27th October, when they travel to London to play champions Arsenal, two weeks after a home match with Birmingham. November sees a home game against West Ham and a visit to Bristol City, while December sees Liverpool visit Manchester, before the girls travel to London again to face Chelsea.
The return derby, which could possibly be played at Old Trafford, takes place in March, which also follows the return game against Liverpool, which will no doubt be two tough games for the girls. City’s final home game of the season sees Spurs arrive in Manchester, while the final game sees City take on the long trek to Brighton.
