Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph is close to swapping City blue for Everton blue in a deal that could be worth up to £10m.
The former Aston Villa man seemed to have been forgotten at the Etihad, but manager Pep Guardiola utilised the England man as a make shift left back in place for the injured Benjamin Mendy in his second season in Manchester, as the blues secured the Premier League and League Cup.
But Delph has again fallen down the pecking order with the emergence of Oleksandr Zinchenko taking a starring role, filling in for the injury-prone Mendy as the blues clinched the treble last season. And with the arrival of Spanish international Rodri, it looks like Delph’s time is now up in Manchester.
Delph will still feel he has a lot to offer in the Premier League and at jus 29 years old, a move to The Toffees may be ideal for the midfielder to restart his career.
