Manchester City academy product Phil Foden has been called up to Aidy Boothroyd’s Under 21 England Squad for the upcoming Euro 2019 squad.
The young midfielder made 26 appearances for City in all competitions last season and scored seven goals, including the winner in the home match against Spurs, which kept City’s winning run alive and on course for a second successive Premier League title.
Foden was also part of the successful England U17 team that won the World Cup in 2017, scoring two goals in the final as England beat Spain 5-2.
It is another step in a growing career that has seen the youngster claim two Premier League winners medals, as well as League Cup and now FA Cup Winners medals.
