Another edition of the Manchester Derby is upon us and the tension is building. Both managers spoke today and what Pep Guardiola has said is making news all over the world.
According to Bleacher Report, Pep Guardiola stated:
”it’s important that the club is structured well, like here, but I won’t comment on what happens at United. This club in the last decade grew a lot, it’s not scary any more to go to Old Trafford but we have to play at our best.”
Pep had strong words, but they are backed by results because since 2011 City has won five and drawn one of their last seven Premier League visits there. Pep also said, “I don’t make theories about what happened in the past. This club grew a lot in the last decade. The game is more equal that it was before.”
Speaking in broader terms Guardiola said of United: “I expect the best United tomorrow, I am sure.” he said. “They are proud. Prepare the game as always, their strong points, their weak points and try to win the game.”
In other news, Kevin De Bruyne was confirmed out for the Derby by Guardiola. I expect City to still play at their best considering how long KDB was out before a mini resurgence in the last month.
Tomorrow is the day, City go top and go in to the final stretch of the season with a surge of momentum.
See you tomorrow! Come On City!
