Germany boss Joachim Low believes Manchester City forward Leroy Sane is now ready to star for Germany.

The City star, who was named as PFA Young Player of the Year in 2018, was left out Lowe’s World Cup squad last summer despite playing a major role in City’s record breaking Premier League campaign, and the 2014 winners went on to endure a dismal tournament, being eliminated at the group stage.

The 23-year-old winger returned to the national side for the UEFA Nations League before Christmas, and Low now believes Sane has improved enough this season to be considered for a role in the team. “His development has been good in both the national team and for Manchester City. He has put in some great performances, but what is more important to me is that he has taken a big step forward.

“He has really mastered his jobs on the pitch. He has incredible skills and has brought them to the pitch in the last six months"
