Manchester CIty win at home again expanding a great record of 15-1 in the Etihad. Raheem Sterling scored a 13-minute hat-trick to send City four points clear of Liverpool, who play today.

The champions endured a frustrating first-half, but turned it on the visitors with three Sterling goals inside the first 15 minutes of the second.

Another win at home and we move.

On to the reaction:

Pep Guardiola Reaction

“Almost impossible to attack when they play so deep -there were no spaces. It was so difficult. but we created enough chances.

“After first goal, it was easier - it is a debate for the referees. I don’t know really. VAR is ready but, nothing happens this year because the Premier League didn’t want VAR - ask them why it is not here.

“Most of us want it - some didn’t That’s why this situation happened. I don’t like it but it is what it is.

“As for Raheem, three goals fantastic but he can do better. He didn’t help us a lot defensively and he missed some chances.

“Most of the games we play are like this – it so difficult because they are so organised. We spoke at half time: make more movement in attacking movement. We did it. That’s why first goal can be a debate.

“We accept what law says. I don’t know what happened. We made an incredible performance.”

Raheem Sterling Reaction

”I don’t know exactly what it was but i was praying they’d give it to us. Slightly fortunate but we deserved it.

”I just want to improve. This year’s no different. I don’t want to just score goals but important goals and help the team.

“We’re just taking it a game at a time. We know we’re strong - we’re contenders. We’re just doing our part. Now, we’ll recover and go again.

”We’re just focused on one game at a time. Today, it was really difficult and it will be a difficult run-in but we’re focused.

“Massive win. Difficult in first half to break them down. Really compact and solid Came out second half got slight luck needed.

”We kept going, kept pressing got what we deserved.”
