Manchester City Take Care of Sheffield United, 2-0: Reaction & Tweets

Manchester City ended 2019 in a winning manner as second half goals from Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne secured a good win over Sheffield United.

This match marked the 100th Premier League win of Pep Guardiola’s City reign.

The visitors had a first half effort disallowed by VAR and proved a nice challenge for the champions.

There was alsosome more controversy, this time about Aguero’s 52^nd minute opener, with the Blades claiming referee Chris Kavanagh had interfered a player in the build-up, but De Bruyne’s late strike sealed the deal and ensured that we ended an unforgettable decade with a necessary three points.

“Today was an incredibly tough game,” he added.

“For the opponent, for the fact we played again after less than 48 hours against one of the most physical teams in the Premier League. Big compliments to my team, again.

“In the first half we had problems but in the second we were much better.
