Manchester City were back to their usual selves as Burnley were cast aside at Turf Moor.
Playing dominantly from start to finish, the champions took a first-half lead through Gabriel Jesus before adding further goals from Jesus, Rodri and Riyad Mahrez to complete a hugely impressive 4-1 win.
It was a badly needed win for Pep Guardiola’s side after a trying month.
A win and we move. On to the reaction-
Pep Guardiola Reaction
“Really good performance, we didn’t conceded too much, only one action in the first half and the goal”
“All of us have no doubts about his quality. I am delighted for him”
“He was incredible. His position in the transition is so clever. He has a much better picture of our game in his head. He’s a fantastic player, so young and perfect in his physicality. He’s got it because a guy who wants to learn and listen, he’s ready...”
“That’s why we can count on him.” (Rodri)
Rodri Reaction
“After this match we was having a party because we needed this win. There is a long way to go until the end of the season, but today is a big win for us”
What chance do City have of retaining the title?
Rodri: “All of it.” Simple as that? Rodri: “Simple as that.”
Gabriel Jesus Reaction
“Sometimes it’s like this, football is like this, I know my quality, I know I can score every game but it’s difficult, real football is not like this. I have Sergio with me, I have to learn with him because he is a legend of football and the club...”
“I have to score when I play because Sergio will score every time, so that is my ambition. I want to play and score every time.”
