Manchester City came from behind to beat Leicester City 3-1 and shorten the gap on the second-placed Foxes to one point.

Jamie Vardy’s cheeky finish gave the visitors the lead, but goals from Riyad Mahrez, Ilkay Gundogan and Gabriel Jesus sealed a much needed win for Pep.

A wonderful performance from Kevin De Bruyne helped seal the deal. On to the reaction-

Pep Guardiola Reaction

”We made an incredible performance with the ball and without the ball,” he said.

“Having Vardy there is always dangerous, but we were always at a high, high level.

“Thank you so much to the players for following me. We try and convince the players this is the team we want to be.

“Against a team like Leicester we scored three goals and we could have scored more. That means a lot for the quality and mentality.”

Everyone played simple. After that, the rest comes along. We create a lot to score goals, and maybe that will be a problem in the future - or maybe not, like Arsenal game we arrive three times and score three goals. It was so good.

Riyad Mahrez Reaction

“It was a bit strange at the beginning [playing against Leicester] but we did well,” he said.

“We made the difference before half-time and we managed to come back.

“In the first half we were very good and in the second half we kept the ball well and we’re happy with the win.”

“When the manager starts me, I try my best to help the team to win,” he continued.

“I’m happy to have scored today and to have helped the team to win.”
