Pep Guardiola spoke again before the media and he addressed various issues from his contract, Foden’s playing time and some updates on in juries.

On Foden-

“He has played 50 games and he is 19 years old,” said Pep.

”He is in one of the top teams in Europe. We are delighted with him. He made a really good game and he will make incredible games in the future.”

”I am delighted for him. He is more mature all the time, his teammates help him every session. He played 50 games, maybe not the 90 minutes each time, but he was involved.

”He has experienced tough moments.”

“He could be ready, but there’s [Ilkay] Gundogan and Kevin [De Bruyne] who didn’t play in Zagreb, Bernardo [Silva] can play there too.”

”Last season against Tottenham we needed points and he started.”

”When he doesn’t start it’s because Kevin, David or Gundogan can play in that position. He plays more each season.”

”One day, not far away, he will play every weekend. That is my feeling.”

On rash of injuries-

David Silva is not fit,” he said. “Tomorrow we’ll see.

“Yesterday and today he could not train. It was a kick in some part of the leg that is painful.

“It’s not a big issue.”

No [Stones is not fit],” he said. “He has a muscular injury and don’t know when he will be back.

“Aguero still doesn’t train with the team.

“The players who were injured are still injured, the players who play in Zagreb are okay. They train good today.”

On his contract, amid speculation-

on talk of a “break stipulation”-“No, it’s not true. I already spoke about that, about my intentions with the club.”

On Arsenal-

“It was a position after Unai Emery situation, he’s a person who stayed a long time at Arsenal, he knows the feelings of the club and the fans, how they like to play. We watched the games with him try to figure out what they will do against us.”

“We will watch the previous Arsenal games and figure out what they will do. Arsenal have a typical style of play. They have quality between the lines with Ozil and Lacazette. Arsenal away is always a test for any team.”

That’ll do it for Pep this week, let’s see hopw the team performs in Sunday’s crucial tie with Arsenal.
