Manager: Pep Guardiola

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Patrício; Boly, Coady, Saïss; Doherty, Neves, Moutinho, Jonny; Traoré, Neto; Jiménez

Manager: Nuno Espírito Santo

Prediction:

Following their loss to Norwich City, Manchester City have responded remarkably well. They have only conceded one goal in their past five matches across all competitions, and kept a clean sheet in four of these five games. Moreover, they out scored their opponents by a scoreline 19-1. They have simply been superb.

Meanwhile, Wolverhampton Wanderers have struggled to balance their domestic and international matches. Wolves have only won two of their last five matches, and conceded in three of the last five. Based on their current results, this does not appear to be the same deadly Wolverhampton from last season. Nonetheless, they should not be taken lightly.

Manchester City are favoured in this match, but Wolverhampton Wanderers will be sure to test City’s weakened defence. Therefore, it is predicted this will be a close encounter.
