David Silva’s appearance in tonight’s game versus Wolves, means he has now made more Premier League appearances for the Club than any other player. At 267 games for City in England’s top flight, Silva now has one more than Joe Hart who is second on the list.
Gabriel Jesus’ great form continued as he nailed down two first-half goals to take the air out of 10-man Wolves.
The Brazilian International scored in the 10th and 39th minute, with the visitors punished to ten men after just 18 minutes by a hard foul from Boly.
Kevin De Bruyne’s cross was snuck past Rui Patricio by Connor Coady on the third goal as the champions moved on to 99 goals in all competitions this season.
On to the reaction:
Pep Guardiola
“We made a fantastic first goal with movement and passing, after that we arrived in the final third quite easily but we didn’t take movements to attack to ball.”
“I’m so pleased because Ederson lives high and defends with our back four. Traore is one of fastest players I’ve ever seen in my life. To handle the risk is not easy. We love Ederson the way he is!”
“ If we don’t win then Liverpool will be champions. Thats why we have to win. We have incredible numbers after what we did last season. They are one team and have done better so far, but we have to be there until the end.”
“ I will try to be involved with everyone. Everybody plays and has been part. I don’t like to play just 11 players in four games, Everyone has to be ready. Some play more than others but still we are in four competitions and everyone is going to play.”
