A home match that was very comfortable!
A 2-0 win over Brighton with one goal in each half by Raheem Sterling (Pay Him!) and Sergio Aguero, respectively.
City, dominated possession with an 80-20% advantage and never seemed to be in much trouble this match. They had many shots and though only two went in they won and for now are top of the table!
On to the reaction, courtesy of ManCity.com-
“Aguero is struggling with some problems in his feet.
We spoke about him playing 55, 60 mins. That’s what happened. We were lucky he scored a goal in that moment.”
“I’m a lucky guy to have this group of fantastic human beings.
Every time we lost the ball, we recovered and attacked with players at the edge of their penalty box. That is a dream for us.”
“He is the number one coach in the world and he wants to see the best of us,” he stated.
“For us, it was important to get three points. We had a lot of chances to score but Brighton are a good team defensively and have quality players in front.”
Zinchenko added he hopes the Blues will take our recent impressive form into the midweek Champions League trip to Hoffenheim.
City kicked-off the 2018/19 European campaign with a disappointing home defeat to Lyon, and the wing-back asserts a victory in Germany is imperative.
“Of course, the Champions League is important to us so we hope to get the three points,” he continued.
