Pep should make do with what he has.

Pep Guardiola, speaking to Sky Sports, said he does not expect any signings and that he will make do with what he has.

This transfer window has been quiet compared to previous windows, but how do you improve a 100 point season, Caraboa Cup winner and Premier League Champions? With the shrewd business done last summer and seeing the ridiculous amounts of money players cost now, it seems City did well and timed their buying accordingly.

City have been rumored with many players, not very concretely though. So, it’s no surprise that it does not look like one will be coming by deadline day. Pep has spoken in the past of another player similar to Fernandinho, but he has capable players like Gundogan who can play there or try some young players like Claudio Gomes, or Douglas Luiz.

This window has seen only three new players come to the Etihad in Philippe Sandler, a young defender from PEC Zwolle, and Claudio Gomes, a teenage midfielder from Paris Saint-Germain, and from Leicester, Riyad Mahrez.

Of course, there is always the opportunity for surprise and that could happen ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. City still look well poised for another great season and have depth to challenge for that elusive Champions League.

What do you think, should we sign one more player? Let us know in the comments below.
