Manchester City Transfer News: City Confirm Ruben Neves Interest

Pep is after a shiny new toy, possibly as soon as January.

After a strong showing versus the Centurion Champions, Ruben Neves has cemented his spot atop Pep Guardiola’s wishlist. That’s according to the Manchester Evening News, who also said Neves is subject of interest by City’s quiet neighbor Manchester United.

At only 21 years old, Neves is thought to have been picked by Pep Guardiola as a potential January move, after the club failed to land midfield targets Jorginho and Fred in the summer window.

Neves, a £15 million get from Porto last summer, was a key cog in Wolves’ Championship title win last season that saw Nuno Espírito Santo’s side promoted to the Premier League with 99 points.

One possible hiccup could be his contract, having recently signed a five year deal with his club. However, one thing we know is if City value the player highly enough, a deal will get done no matter the cost.

What do you think, want Ruben Neves? How much would you pay for him, is there a limit?
