The football season is upon us, oh how we’ve missed you, and with it comes a brand new writing team here at Bitter and Blue, ready to bring you the latest news and views, opinions and match details. So here we are;

Pete Cummings

Pete has been a blue almost since he could talk. He fell in love with City in 1980 and attended his first match in August 1987 at home to Plymouth Argyle, so yes, he was there when we were crap. Pete has seen more drama than an episode of EastEnders. As well as writing about football, Pete is an author of a Young Adult novel which will be published in September 2018.

Pete will be editing all articles and managing the team, as well as looking back at past matches, head to head statistics and live blog.

Ger Deegan

Ger is a Manchester City seasoncard holder and freelance football writer based in Dublin. He has a particular passion for English, Irish and Italian football and his work has featured for publications such as Newstalk.ie, TheseFootballTimes.co and Tifofootball.com. Ger is also a reporter for Extratime.ie. FAI accredited journalist. He achieved a BA (Hons) in Journalism and Broadcasting at the University of Wolverhampton.

Ger will be focussing on Match reports, player ratings and live blogs

Mark Temnycky

As well as writing for Manchester City for SB Nation’s Bitter and Blue, Mark also contributes to Futbolgrad.com, a website that reports on football in the former Soviet Union. At Futbolgrad, Mark covers the Ukrainian men’s national team and Ukrainian clubs competing in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.

For Bitter and Blue, Mark will be writing our match previews and having his say on all current events at the club.

Caroline Sherratt

Seventeen year old Caroline spent her first season (2017-18) watching Manchester City Women. She was lucky enough to watch them lift the WSL 1 trophy back in October 2016 - her first Man City Women’s game and never looked back. Caroline is a member of the MCWFC Official Supporters Club and her aim is to watch as many home and more specifically away games this season.

Caroline comes on board to focus on our new feature, covering Manchester City’s women’s team, and judging by her first two articles for us, she will be a big hit this season.

Kevin Nelson

Despite growing up baseball, basketball and American Football, Kevin developed his love for Football in 2010. Choosing a Premier League while based in Connecticut was a difficult decision and City were a heavy favourite, but the moment that swung it for Kevin was May 2012, when the blues beat QPR to win the league. Kevin has been a season ticket holder NYCFC since their inception. Outside of football, Kevin is in graduate school, studying Ocean Engineering at the University of Rhode Island.

Kevin will be covering the tactical analysis for the new season and also write opinion pieces and take charge over the City community, getting involved with the comments on articles and encouraging lively discussion.

Saul Garcia

Saul Garcia is a native of Florida and has been a Manchester City fan since 2008 when they bought his favorite player Robinho and has stuck with them ever since, and it’s been a great decade. He is also a recent college graduate who enjoys the NBA, and Pro Wrestling when there’s no football on.

For the new season, Saul will be looking at all the talking points from the matches, writing opinion pieces and also running our social media.

Emmanuel Odey

Emmanuel is a football journalist who lives and breathes the round leather game. He has been featured on several well-known platforms where he discusses several aspects of the game he loves with a passion.

Emmanuel will be covering all things Manchester City for SB Nation’s Bitter and Blue and will also be looking at the views and reactions about our club from around the world. You can connect with him on Twitter @emmanuelodeyibl

Reeves Guyton

Reeves Guyton is a senior who will graduate in 2019, but initially hails from Stockport and has been a Manchester City fan since birth. Although he now lives in America, he watches every game and tries to go to a game live at least once a season. Reeves was in attendance for Aguero’s winner vs. QPR in 2012 to win the league. He also write about American Football (Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Tech) as well as Atlanta United of the MLS. He has played football for my entire life and have fallen in love with writing about it in recent years.

As well as opinion posts, Reeves will be writing asking and answering questions from opposite teams bloggers for the forthcoming season. His twitter is @reevesg55.
