After months of speculation, Riyad Mahrez is on the verge of completing his long awaited Man City move. Mahrez, according to various outlets, has undergone his medical at the City Football Academy and is headed to Manchester City. The move is expected to be around £60m, which would make Mahrez the most expensive signing in Man City history.
The move, which was rumored to involve Man City player Patrick Roberts, will not include Roberts, who instead will join Leicester City on a separate transfer for around £10million.
Mahrez finishes his stellar career at Leicester City with 178 appearances and 48 goals in all competitions, which includes a EPL title.
Mahrez will join up with Manchester City preseason training following his unveiling. He is expected to rotate and compete as a winger alongside Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane. The move will undoubtedly boost City’s depth and create competition on the wings.
