Pep Guardiola has given an update on the fitness of both Leroy Sane and Gabriel Jesus as the two stars near a return to fitness.
Both players will miss Saturday’s Premier League clash with Leicester City and also the Champions League trip to Basel in midweek. However, Pep has said that Sane is improving and Jesus will be back soon.
“Leroy Sane is much better but I don’t think he will be back for the Champions League. He’s just running in training.
“I would like to rest Sergio Aguero but he’s the only striker we have. He is making a huge effort and doing really well. But Gabriel Jesus is coming back soon - maybe 10 days, two weeks.
“We have tomorrow, three days later Champions League, then five days, and then five days for the League Cup Final. We will see day by day how the players feel. Some players are not fit. Others will come back.”

City are embarking on a really busy run of fixtures and while Sane and Jesus are not quite ready to return, it does not sound like it will be too long until we’ll se them back in action.
