Manchester City to move for Isco?

Today’s rumors start in Spain where Isco has apparently become surplus to requirements at Real Madrid as Zinedine Zidane no longer trusts him.

According to AS, Manchester City are one of five clubs who could afford the playmaker with Liverpool, Arsenal, Juventus and Bayern Munich also named.

Unsurprisingly Diario Gol have also got in on the act, and they reckon he has three offers to leave, from City, Manchester United and Chelsea. Make of that what you will.

Fred ‘will go’ to Manchester City

Meanwhile, City’s attempts to buy Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred will continue in the summer and are likely to prove successful.

According to the Daily Mail, former Shakhtar boss Mircea Lucescu has said Fred: “will go to City like Fernandinho before him.”

Manchester United are also reportedly interested, but Fred is expected to move to City and will cost somewhere in the region of £50 million.

City give up on Mahrez

And finally today we end with news that Manchester City have given up on their attempts to sign Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City.

Mahrez has apparently gone on strike after seeing a January move to Pep Guardiola’s side fall through, and his actions have not impressed the City boss one little bit, so say the Mirror.

Guardiola still wants to bring in another attacker but will now turn his attentions elsewhere after having “major concerns” about Mahrez’s behaviour since the close of the transfer window.
