It’s fair to say that Nicolas Otamendi has been having a pretty brilliant season for Manchester City so far.
However, if you look at the stats a little more closely, you will see that actually he’s having an amazing season, and he’s leading the way in Europe.

City have conceded just 19 goals in 26 Premier League matches this season and Otamendi has been a virtual present for Pep Guardiola’s side.
He’s also contributed four goals to the cause and fully deserved the new contract he signed in January which will keep him at the club until 2022.
