Manchester City continue to set the pace in the Premier League and are getting closer to the title thanks to a dominant 3-0 win over West Bromwich Albion at the Etihad. The Blues were the better team for the entire 90 minutes and are now 15 points clear at the top of the table.

Pep Guardiola and the players were very happy after the game, and below is their full reaction to the result:

Pep Guardiola Post-Match Press Conference

“When you see the number (of goals this season) you think it can’t be possible. But we create so many. It’s a joy to see.. But we have one of the toughest away games next against Burnley. Then we have a bit more space to recover players.

“We still have to win eight games to be champions of the Premier League and we are going to try and win the next one in two days and a half.

“Laporte plays 45 minutes and plays like that. People say he is expensive - maybe he will prove to be cheap! Today, good players are so expensive. I said (to the board) ‘if you can do a Laporte deal, do it, if not, no worry.’ They said we can do it in the summer but we will try to do it now. It was easier because he had a buy-out clause.

“David took a tough, kick here in a painful area. I don’t know if he will be able to play in two days and a half because we play next at Saturday at 12 o’clock but we will see.”
