Gabriel Jesus’s hat trick led the way for City, as they won 6-0 in the Etihad to put themselves in sole control of first place in the group. Adding goals were David Silva, Mahrez and Raheem Sterling.
Raz was the subject of some controversy after a penalty was called even though it was clear Raz hit the pitch then fell, not fouled. To that I say move on, no right player in their mind would try to fess up to that. Let’s just let it go and enjoy the huge win at the top of the group.
In better news that makes it two games and a dozen goals for us, which even for a dominant team as City is ridiculously impressive.
On to the reaction:
Pep Reaction
“I am really happy. We did again an incredible performance. The way we attack, the way we defend.
“The only problem is if we believe it is easy, it is not.
“It is unfortunate we are not qualified but we area so close.
“We need to keep and maintain that level.
”The quality of Gabriel is that he always fights. It is important for him to score goals for his confidence and for the team.”
