David Silva, El Mago, considered by some (including me) to be City’s greatest signing, makes his voice clear stating it is Bernardo Silva who will supplant him.
Speaking to the Manchester City website El Mago said,
“Bernardo is a brilliant player with lots of quality and works very hard,” Silva said.
“He’s got a huge amount of quality. Football moves on, players come, and players go.
“But there’s always someone to come in and fill your shoes and we’re lucky that we’ve got lots of players to do that.”
Silva has been our creative director, scoring seven goals in 15 matches and producing a great run of influential performances.
This is a great sign for City fans who after the last few years and the Centurion accomplishment have been spoiled with riches. To the credit of the people in charge of signings, including Pep Guardiola, Bernardo is just one of many phenomenal pieces of business done by the club. From him to Ederson, Mendy, Sterling, Sane, Stones, and Laporte the future is as bright as the present.
David Silva, when he decides to hang it up will be remembered as one of City’s and Manchester’s greatest footballer’s.
