Manchester City may be set to lose another promising youngster in the form of Brahim Diaz as the blues continue to fail to agree a new deal.

The nineteen year old rejected a loan move to Girona in the summer, preferring to fight for his place at The Etihad Stadium, but amid reports of contract disputes, the youngster may now be ready to look at his options away from the club.

It would be another blow to the blues youth academy after Jadon Sancho left to join Borussia Dortmund, with the former blue playing a star role in the German outfit’s midfield, and his performances earned him an England call-up earlier this month.

Guardiola is a big fan of Diaz, but the youngster faces competition in the form of Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane, Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva, meaning his appearances this season have been limited to just one; Oxford in the League Cup.

Potential destinations for the youngster should he decide to move on in January would be Real Madrid, who would look to add Diaz to their youth ranks and promote him to the first team when the time is right.

Should Diaz stay and fight or should he seek opportunities elsewhere?
