The Blues will face Arsenal at Wembley on February 25 after a 2-1 aggregate win over Chelsea in the semi-finals. After a goalless draw in the first leg at Stamford Bridge, the two teams went for in the return leg and played a great game, with Arsenal coming from behind with goals from Antonio Rüdiger (own goal) and Granit Xhaka.
City and Arsenal will meet again at Wembley almost 10 months to the date of their last match there, in the FA Cup semi-final in April of last year. The Gunners won 2-1 in extra time and went on to win the Final against Chelsea. Pep Guardiola will hope to avenge that loss and win his first title in England against Arsene Wenger’s men.
City and Arsenal have faced each other once this season in the Premier League, with the Blues winning 3-1 at home with a dominant performance. It wouldn’t be the worst thing if that happened again, right?
