Manchester City goalkeeper Éderson Moraes had a very serious injury scare against Liverpool on Saturday after taking a boot to the face from Sadio Mané at the end of the first half. Éderson needed to be stretchered off and things looked scary for a while, but we’ve been given some encouraging updates on his status.
Ederson not concussed, not going to hospital. Going to medical institute beside City campus to check for fracture.

Ederson being taken to medical institute next to CFA to check for fractures. No concussion, apparently. #MCFC #LFC

We still need to see if there are any facial fractures, but the fact he’s avoided a concussion is certainly great news. Claudio Bravo will be the goalkeeper until his return, but it looks like Éderson will be back sooner than later.
