Alexis staying at Arsenal
We start with a story from the Mirror claiming that Alexis Sánchez has accepted Arsenal’s decision to not sell him his summer and the Chilean is comfortable with the idea of moving to another club on a free transfer next year. Pep Guardiola wants Alexis now but Arsene Wenger has made it clear the player won’t be sold to a Premier League rival, so Manchester City will have to wait until January to agree a pre-contract with Sánchez for his arrival in July of 2018.
David Silva returning to Spain
The City Magician has two years left on his current contract and will be 33 in 2019, so David Silva could be thinking about a move back home to end his career in Spain. Silva is from the Gran Canaria region and wants to play for La Liga side Las Palmas who are based on that region. According to Spanish publication elgoldigital, Las Palmas and Silva have already initiated discussions about a possible deal.
Patrick Roberts moving to France
French newspaper Nice-Matin have a story out claiming that OGC Nice are pushing hard for a loan deal that would send City winger Patrick Roberts to France. Nice have a crucial Champions League playoff against Napoli next week, and they’re hoping to sign Roberts in time for him to be available for the first Napoli match. After spending the last 18 months at Celtic FC, Roberts will be loaned once again to get more experience, and this time he may go to a more competitive league with a chance to play big European matches.
